Anthony M. Bell
Tony BellMy name is Anthony Bell. I am running for re election to represent you on the Board of Directors. It has been my pleasure to serve the best association in the state, HCEA. I would like the opportunity to continue to serve you on the many important issues that we are now facing as educators. I possess the experience, commitment, and knowledge for this position. We must stand together for the members and most importantly, for children.

Doug LeaI am running to retain my seat on HCEA’s Board of Directors and also to serve as a delegate to the NEA convention. My 21 years of teaching experience in HCPSS include working with students from all levels. I hold an MS from Hopkins and MSDE Certifications in teaching, counseling, and administration. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. My HCEA contributions include serving as a building rep for over 15 years (representing 3 different schools). I am currently on the Board of Directors, I am chair of the Information & Advocacy Committee, and serve on the 2010 Negotiations team.

Joe StaubAs your former HCEA President, I continue to serve all of our members on the HCEA Board of Directors. Our Association faces many challenges in today’s difficult economic conditions. HCEA must fight to protect your health care benefits, improve salaries, and ensure that the Board of Education provides you with the resources to do your job! Experienced leadership is needed on the HCEA Board of Directors to continue our fight for better pensions and better working conditions. I have the experience to represent all HCEA members. Cindy WaughIn the past 3 years I have served as Building Representative, Government Relations Committee member, and delegate to the annual state Representative Assembly. I’ve also represented the Association at annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfasts and Mid-Atlantic Regional Conferences. I graduated from the Emerging Leaders Academy in October, 2009 and have attended multiple trainings provided by MSEA. I will continue to strive to improve the lives of educators and provide great publics schools for all students. I feel that my passion, dedication, experience and energy provide me with the skills necessary to be the Director you want.
