 The Help-a-Child Fund is a joint charitable project of the HCPSS Pupil Personnel Workers and the Howard County Education Association. Since 1992, the Fund has been the last resort safety net providing new clothing, coats, shoes, eyeglasses, and more, for hundreds of our students.
100% of the donations go to the students. There is no administrative cost to the Fund. All labor and materials are donated. Really, it is the ideal charity – close to home, immediately helpful without a lot of red tape, and for children whose specific needs are identified by our own colleagues who know the child’s circumstances.
You can make a one-time donation if you wish. You might donate in the name of someone you wish to honor, or as a memorial gift. We have a nice ‘gift announcement’ card we will send for you. Or you can donate an amount that’s right for you each pay period just by clicking here. This donation will be taken 20 times during the school year.
