Virtual meeting
During these sessions, which are a companion to Storytelling for Social Justice: For Families, educators will reflect on their own stories and how they would like to use their stories to build deeper relationships with families. At the end of the sessions, educators will be able to identify dominant narratives that fracture family-school staff relationships; engage in active and wholehearted listening; and determine an action plan for continued engagement with families.
The sessions will take place from 4:30-6pm ET on the dates below. The first three sessions will be virtual and the final session will be in-person. Guided by Dr. Kaler-Jones, during the final session, educators will have the opportunity to hear from families and receive assistance and information about best practices for wholehearted listening.
